I got here the long way.
Call center. Assembly line. Registrar's office. Pulpit. Three years living out of a suitcase as a software consultant. Now I lead enterprise technology and build with AI every week.

Every one of those rooms taught me the same thing. The technology was rarely the hard part. The people were never the problem. The order was.
For a hundred years, we built the work around the process and asked people to fit. Every new method fixed the operation and missed the person. AI is the first technology flexible enough to be built around people. Whether that happens is a leadership decision, not a technical one.
So that's what I write and speak about. Mission. People. Technology. In that order.
Why I care
I was a pastor before I was a technologist. I believe every person carries something no one else can bring. That belief is why I build the way I do, and why I don't think "high performer" and "most valuable" are the same thing.
A few things you should know
I'm an opinionated person. That doesn't mean I'm right. I take what I do seriously, but I don't take myself seriously. And I once got an entire university blocked by Google with a single mail merge, so I've earned the right to tell you to read what AI writes before you send it.
